BEMER

  • MY #1 RECOMMENDATION FOR HEALTHY AGING

I “brand” myself as The Natural Pharmacist. I’ve had a passionate interest in all things related to health for over 40 years. As a result, I’ve become somewhat of an expert in the science and technology of healthy aging. In 1999, I was named one of the Top 50 Most Influential Pharmacists in the US by American Druggist magazine for my educational work in natural medicine. For more information about me, my blog and my books, visit my website at www.naturalpharmacist.net. In this article, I want to introduce you to my #1 recommendation for healthy aging...BEMER.

    BEMER Pro

Good circulation is essential for good health, and poor circulation has a progressively detrimental effect on every system in the body. I want to introduce you to BEMER Pro. BEMER stands for Bio-Electro-Magnetic Energy Regulation. BEMER Pro is an FDA-approved Class 1 medical device that dramatically improves circulation to micro-capillaries throughout the body.

In order to really understand the power of BEMER watch the short video below that demonstrates how BEMER improves microvascular circulation.

INCREASED ENERGY: Now that you’ve watched the BEMER blood flow video, you can understand how BEMER sessions result in increased delivery of oxygen and nutrients to cells throughout the body. After BEMER sessions, many people say they feel like they have more energy. Of course. Increased delivery of blood flow means the cells and mitochondria within cells receive more oxygen and are capable of producing more ATP, which is the “molecular currency” of energy for every reaction that happens throughout the body. Increased energy following BEMER sessions was documented in a human, placebo-controlled clinical trial. In this study, twenty healthy volunteers were divided randomly into two groups. One group received BEMER sessions six days/per week for 21 days while the placebo group underwent a look-alike sham procedure. At the end of the study, mitochondria in cells of the volunteers receiving BEMER sessions were found to be producing 14 percent more ATP compared to the placebo group.1

BEMER is not a “therapy” for any disease or health condition. However, many functions in the body start to improve when cells receive more oxygen, more nutrients and generate more energy.

While some people do get noticeable relief after just one or two sessions, I do not like to encourage that expectation. I use the analogy of exercise. If an individual is not in shape and then they go to the gym and lift weights or get on a treadmill once, he or she will not have gained much strength or increased aerobic fitness. Working out regularly day after day is what will gradually result in increased fitness. It is much the same with BEMER. With cells being infused with more oxygen and nutrients twice daily, the body starts to function better. The improvements that people make after 30, 60 and 90 days of regular BEMER sessions are often truly remarkable.

MICRO-CAPILLARY CIRCULATION:Veins constitute about 14.5 percent of your circulatory system and arteries account for about 11.5 percent of your vascular system. This means that approximately 74 percent of your circulatory system consists of micro-capillaries. Scientists estimate that the vascular system in an adult human contains over 70,000 miles of micro-capillaries.

The importance of the tiniest blood vessels, the microcapillaries, is vastly underestimated. If blood cannot flow easily into these tiny vessels, then there will be a deficiency of oxygen and nutrients to cells, which will have cumulative negative effects on all tissues and organ systems in the body. Some of our most common chronic degenerative diseases and/or problems are associated with impaired micro-capillary circulation. These include some aspects of cardiovascular disease, the epidemic of metabolic disorders related to elevated blood sugar, cognitive decline and poor wound healing.2,3,4 BEMER excels at increasing microcapillary circulation.

PULSED ELECTRO-MAGNETIC FIELDS (PEMF): Energy therapies have been used as healing modalities for thousands of years. Recently, devices that deliver pulsed electromagnetic frequencies (PEMF) are being increasingly used by therapists and the general public. The increased popularity of PEMF devices is largely due to the fact that advances in scientific technology can now document and explain how and why these PEMF devices provide health benefits.

BEMER is classified as a PEMF device. However, BEMER is substantially different than all the other competitive PEMF devices on the market. BEMER’s proprietary technology is protected by five international patents. Twelve BEMER studies are posted on PubMed and worldwide; over 75 studies utilizing BEMER technology have been published. This makes BEMER the most thoroughly researched PEMF device in the world.

    WHAT IS BEMER?
A BEMER Pro system consists of a control unit called the B.Box and a yoga-like mat that you lay or sit on that is called the B.Body. The system also comes with the following additional accessories: the B.Pad and B.Spot that can be used to treat localized areas such as a sore shoulder, low back, knee or ankle and the B.Light for topical skin conditions.

    BEMER’S SLEEP PROGRAM:
BEMER is the only PEMF device that has a sleep program. BEMER’s sleep program runs at low frequencies for four hours at night: two hours at bedtime and then comes on automatically two hours before your anticipated wakeup time. To use the sleep program, the coils are easily slipped out of the B.Body mat and placed under the sheet and mattress pad. Insomnia and other sleep problems are an epidemic in America. Many people using the BEMER sleep program report substantial improvements in their sleep. Also, people who wear devices that track sleep metrics such as Fitbit and the Apple iWatch report that BEMER’s sleep program has enabled them to get more time in REM and deep sleep cycles.

    BUILDING STRONGER BONES:
Numerous studies have subsequently been published documenting the fact that pulsed electromagnetic fields stimulate the activity of osteoblasts, which are the cells responsible for building new bone. Orthopedic medical journals report that pulsed electromagnetic field treatments accelerate healing of fractures.5

Several studies conducted specifically with BEMER devices report that the BEMER patented signal stimulates the activity of osteoblasts.6 Thus, by stimulating osteoblastic activity, BEMER sessions have a positive effect on bone metabolism and help to build stronger bones.

    DEEP RELAXATION & LESS STRESS:
The nervous system consists of two complementary parts, the sympathetic and parasympathetic. In today’s fast-paced world, many people spend far too much time with their sympathetic nervous system dominant. This is known as the fight-or-flight mode. Sympathetic nervous system activation releases the stress hormones cortisol and adrenaline, which result in increased blood pressure, shallow rapid breathing, fatigue, poor digestion and elimination, and a tendency toward more anxiety, restlessness, agitation and poor sleep.

The counterbalancing part of the nervous system is referred to as “Rest and Digest.” This is the parasympathetic nervous system that helps the body rest, relax, digest, recover and repair. In general, the parasympathetic nervous system’s functions are the exact opposite from sympathetic activation.

I believe that BEMER sessions also help people shift into a more relaxed parasympathetic state. Sometimes when I lie down to do a BEMER session, I’m totally exhausted. But, after the session, I’m amazed at how fresh and energized I feel. There is an interesting paradox. Even though I feel energized after a BEMER session, at the same time I feel a deep sense of being relaxed and calm.

PRICE OF A BEMER: The price of a BEMER Pro is $5,990 (some states will have additional sales tax). BEMER also has a financing program available.

How To Proceed: To learn more about BEMER, please contact me. My email is: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. I have much more information, documentation and scientific studies I would be happy to share with you. Also, when you send me your contact information, I will attempt to find a clinic or individual in your area that has a BEMER so that you can schedule one or several introductory BEMER sessions.

Charles K. Bens, PhD, in “Changing Your Age Equation” gives us a heads up with general strategies and to be adjusted based on factors such as age, sex, general health, metabolism, genetics and income. We all can only do the best that we can given our personal circumstances. Bens is clear on there being no excuse for not paying attention to the scientific facts that are included in this article.

Stress Hormone #2—Insulin,” by Ann Louise Gittleman, PhD, CNS. Long-time weight loss, detox, and anti-aging expert alerts us that insulin is the one hormone that you have the most control over. It is controlled primarily by what you put in your mouth. All foods trigger a hormonal response. Gittleman shares details on how excess production of insulin can result in too much blood sugar being stored as fat, interfering with weight loss efforts. Another reminder on the influence of stress on the body.

Gene Bruno, MS, MHS, in “An Overview of Vitamin C.” This is one vitamin the human body is unable to make. The source of vitamin C is your diet and supplements. Broccoli and potatoes (not French fries) in addition to orange juice and grapefruit juice are good sources. There are some exceptions based on prescriptions you may be taking. Bruno also discuses dosages of supplements and where there may be restrictions. We always recommend consulting with your healthcare provider.

BEMER For Circulation Health,” by Ross Pelton, RPh, CCN, recommends and discusses a product, which helps blood circulation, including even the tiniest vessels in the body. BEMER stands for Bio-Electro-Magnetic Energy Regulation. BEMER Pro is an FDA-approved Class 1 medical device that dramatically improves circulation to micro-capillaries throughout the body. BEMER is not a “therapy” for any disease or health condition. However, many functions in the body start to improve when cells receive more oxygen, more nutrients and generate more energy.
